Terms of Service
Last updated: April 16, 2026
These terms govern your use of WhatIMade.app ("the Service"), operated by WhatIMade ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service Does
WhatIMade.app is a free website hosting platform. You upload files, we serve them on a subdomain (yoursite.whatimade.app). You can optionally sign in to manage your sites, set passwords, and connect custom domains.
2. Your Account
You can use the Service without an account (anonymous uploads). If you sign in with Google, you get a dashboard to manage your sites. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Your Content
You retain full ownership of everything you upload. We do not claim any rights over your files. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and serve those files as part of the hosting service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and publish the content you host on the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to host:
- Malware, phishing pages, or deceptive content
- Content that violates applicable laws
- Spam or content designed to abuse search engines
- Content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
- Content that promotes violence or discrimination
- Cryptocurrency mining scripts or similar resource-intensive code
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
5. Free Hosting
Hosting on *.whatimade.app subdomains is free. We do not charge monthly fees or subscriptions. We reserve the right to introduce reasonable limits on storage, bandwidth, or file counts to maintain service quality for all users.
6. Custom Domains
We offer domain registration as a paid feature. Domain purchases are processed through Stripe and registered via Cloudflare Registrar. Domain pricing, renewal terms, and ICANN policies apply as displayed at the time of purchase. Domain purchases are non-refundable once the domain has been registered.
7. API Keys
Each site can have API keys that allow third-party tools (including AI assistants) to read and write files. You are responsible for managing your API keys and revoking any that may have been compromised. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from shared or leaked API keys.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running around the clock, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided on Cloudflare's infrastructure, and availability depends on their network. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.
9. Data and Backups
We do not guarantee that your hosted files will be preserved indefinitely. While we make reasonable efforts to maintain data integrity, you should keep local copies of anything important. We are not responsible for data loss.
10. Termination
You can delete your sites at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we decide to shut down the Service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days notice so you can download your files.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via the dashboard.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
