Getting started
Yes. No credit card, no trial, no monthly fee. A whatimade.app address is free forever, for as many sites as you like. The only thing we ever charge for is our service on a custom web address of your own, and that service is free for your whole first year, with no card needed for it. After the first year it's the standard £7 a month, billed annually (£84 a year), whether you bought the domain through us or brought one you already own. The domain name itself is separate: passed through at cost with zero markup, paid from day one if you buy it here, renewed yearly at cost, and registered in your name. And your files are always yours: every version is copied to your own Google Drive, so you can leave any time with nothing to lose.

Using AI to build your site
Yes. Ask any AI for a complete HTML page, copy the result, and drop it into WhatIMade. Or paste the HTML directly into the upload box. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot: any AI that exists today or will exist tomorrow works with WhatIMade.
Ask for "a single, complete HTML file" that includes all styles and content inline. Tell it what the site is about (your bakery, portfolio, event, project) and the AI will write the HTML. Copy the whole thing and paste it into WhatIMade. Done.
Use that one too. WhatIMade isn't locked to any AI provider. It takes HTML, the most universal format on the web. Any tool that can produce HTML works with WhatIMade, now and forever.

We charge the standard £7 a month, billed annually (£84 a year), only if you want your site on a custom web address of your own. Your first year of that fee is free, with no card needed for it. After the first year it's £7 a month whether you bought the domain through us or brought one you already own. The domain's own price is passed through at cost, zero markup, registered in your name. That is our only revenue line. Hosting on a whatimade.app address stays free, forever, for as many sites as you like.

Yes. Paste your existing site's address into the “Already have a website?” card on the home page, or text it to WhatsApp. We copy the pages and pictures into a free WhatIMade site, walk you through pointing your domain at us, and then walk you through cancelling the old subscription, step by step, with the exact billing-page link. The whole journey takes about 5 minutes end to end. We've also published free cancellation guides for every major host.
Your data and ownership
Your site is served from Cloudflare, the same network many of the world's biggest sites use, so it loads fast everywhere. Every time you publish, a copy of your files is also saved to a folder in your own Google Drive that you control.
Every publish copies your files into your own Google Drive, in a folder you control. If we disappeared tomorrow, those files are still yours. Custom domains bought through us are registered in your name, not ours, so they stay with you too. We built it this way on purpose.
Your files are already in your Google Drive. Download them anytime and host them anywhere else. They're standard HTML. There is no export process because there is nothing to export from. The files were always yours.
No. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't track you across the web. Read the privacy policy. It's short and written in plain English.
